Our annual tournament, Summer Smash, is back!
With Super Smash Bros. Brawl as our headline game, tournaments will be structured differently from month to month. The first tournament, this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be a Singles tournament, where players will go one-on-one against each other to discover who is the best Brawl player here.
After the tournament is over, players will receive points based on where they placed in the tournament. Then, after all the points are figured out, crews will be formed, with up to four people per crew. These crews will be ranked based on the points each member earned in the tournament. The only restriction to forming a crew is that no one from the top four in the Singles tournament may be in the same crew. The crews formed will enter into tournaments for the rest of Summer Smash 2010, which happen July 17 and August 14.
Don’t miss the first tournament in what’s sure to be an intense Summer Smash!
Or Dattebayo! if you want to be technical.
After a long wait, Save•Point’s Grand Tournament season is here. We’re continuing the success we saw last season with Halo 3, where teams of four will battle it out for spots in our Grand Finals tournament on May 22nd. Like last season, the tournament’s first round will be Team Slayer, with the following rounds alternating between Capture the Flag and Team Slayer. The Finals will be a best of three that contains both Team Slayer and Capture the Flag. Unlike last season, for the first time ever, the tournament will be all ages.
The beat is back this Saturday, with the return of our annual BeatMix event at Save•Point. Every year, our gaming program (Save•Point, as you probably guessed) takes a break from the ongoing tournaments to kick back and rock out. We’re doing it again with games such as Rock Band 2, Beatles: Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, and Dance Dance Revolution and whatever else shows up. All ages are welcome. BeatMix comes but once a year, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of the fun. The Save•Point doors open at 10:00 a.m.
the Grand Tournament series! Season 8 will feature teams of 4 battling it out across the various maps of Halo 3 in an attempt to see who will take home the first ever Halo GT Championship title.
